Overview
What you'll learn:
- Breathing correctly, Yogic/Vedantic Pranayama techniques, using the breath as a tool for a richer life
This course will introduce you to 12 different breathing or pranayama techniques which achieve different states of energy in your body. There are techniques which are activating and energizing while others are relaxing or calming. First you will learn all the techniques as stand alone practices. Giving you the tool to alter your state of mind/energy at your will using those techniques. You will be able to use energizing and activating techniques when you feel low and in the need of energy and calming or relaxing techniques when you feel stressed or anxious. Finally we will combine techniques into complete breathwork sequences to achieve an even more effective outcome in your mind and body. There will be three 20-minute breathwork sequences in total, but also the invitation to you to combine techniques and create your own sequences according to your needs.
Some of the techniques which you are going to learn are frequently taught in yoga classes and you might have practiced them before, while others are less common and more known by experienced practitioners. They all originate from the Himalayan Vedantic Yoga Tradition of Northern India and Tibet.
If you would like to have more control over how you feel and the energy levels in your body, as well as increase the flexibility and capacity of your lungs, this is the right course for you.
