Bethe Ansatz in 2D Conformal Field Theory
Offered By: Erwin Schrödinger International Institute for Mathematics and Physics (ESI) via YouTube
Course Description
Overview
Explore the intersection of 2D conformal field theory (CFT) and quantum integrability in this 46-minute conference talk from the Workshop on "Exactly Solvable Models" at the Erwin Schrödinger International Institute. Delve into alternative approaches to studying 2D CFTs beyond the traditional Virasoro algebra framework. Discover the existence of infinite-dimensional families of commuting higher spin Hamiltonians in 2D CFTs, constructed from Virasoro generators. Examine two distinct sets of Bethe ansatz equations used for diagonalizing these Hamiltonians: one by Bazhanov-Lukyanov-Zamolodchikov and another by Litvinov. Investigate the connections between these constructions, W algebras, and affine Yangian symmetry, providing a broader perspective on 2D CFTs within the context of quantum integrability.
