Braided Quantum Field Theory
Offered By: Erwin Schrödinger International Institute for Mathematics and Physics (ESI) via YouTube
Course Description
Overview
Explore the concept of braided quantum field theory in this 46-minute conference talk by Richard Szabo at the Erwin Schrödinger International Institute for Mathematics and Physics. Delve into the introduction of braided field theories, a new class of noncommutative field theories equivariant under triangular Hopf algebra symmetry. Learn about the construction of these theories through the novel mathematical concept of braided homotopy algebras. Discover the development of a braided generalization of purely algebraic Batalin-Vilkovisky quantization techniques and their application in exploring braided quantum field theory properties. Examine perturbative correlation function calculations for braided scalar field theories, and consider the implications for potentially reduced UV/IR mixing in this class of noncommutative field theories. Gain insights from this presentation, which was part of the Workshop on "Exactly Solvable Models" held at ESI in July 2024.
