Encapsulated Electromyography with Myo and Raspberry Pi
Offered By: media.ccc.de via YouTube
Course Description
Overview
Explore a conference talk on repurposing the Myo armband, a decade-old technology, for electromyography research and robotic control. Learn how to connect the Myo armband to a Raspberry Pi 3B+ using Python, enabling fine-grained myomuscular electrical detection. Discover the process of creating an encapsulated, low-cost system for controlling pneumatic robots using the Programmable Air system. Gain insights into achieving strong mechanical advantage without the limitations of traditional servos or stepper motors, while maintaining an organic feel through air or water systems. Join speakers Alex Leitch and Celia Chen as they demonstrate this innovative approach to muscular robot control at the 37C3 conference.
