CFT, Spin's Statistics, and All That - David Simmons Duffin
Offered By: Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics via YouTube
Course Description
Overview
Explore the foundations of conformal field theory (CFT) and its connections to holography and quantum gravity in this conference talk by David Simmons Duffin from Caltech. Delve into the modern language of CFT, including insights from the conformal bootstrap program, and examine how consistency conditions in quantum gravity relate to those in CFT. Investigate topics such as large N bootstrap, holographic CFTs dual to general relativity, CFT sum rules, gravitational effective field theory, supersymmetry in holography, low-dimensional holography, modularity, quantum chaos, black holes, symmetry constraints on gravitational path integrals, and AdS vacua. Gain insights into the relationship between S-matrices, CFT correlators, and holography beyond AdS as part of the "Gravity from algebra: modern field theory methods for holography" conference held at the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics.
