Bring Elastic and Resilient Multi-Tenancy to TiKV
Offered By: CNCF [Cloud Native Computing Foundation] via YouTube
Course Description
Overview
Explore the significant changes and challenges introduced in TiKV to support Multi-Tenancy and Change Data Capture (CDC) for RawKV in this conference talk. Learn how data spaces are separated into logical sub-ranges for different tenancies and how timestamps are added as key postfixes for MVCC. Discover the challenges faced, including region management bottlenecks and TSO service limitations. Understand the solutions implemented to make multi-tenancy elastic and resilient, such as refactoring region management and TSO service as micro-services, isolating tenancies based on scale and QoS, and implementing a TSO cache in TiKV. Gain insights into handling causality consistency issues arising from the TSO cache implementation.
