Working with Captions using AWS Elemental MediaLive

This course provides an overview of the purpose of captions. It will explain the key differentiators between common caption formations. It will walk you through end user requirements to determine a functioning live captioning workflow based on end user profiles. And you can complete the companion self-paced lab to create a live streaming channel with live captions within the AWS Management Console.

This course is intended for anyone that wants to learn how to add and distribute subtitles or captions in a video workflow.

• Explain key differentiators between common caption formats:
  • Open vs. closed captions
  • Plain vs. formatted text
  • Side-car vs. embedded
• Use product documentation and user guides to determine a functioning live captioned workflow based on end user profiles.
• Create a live streaming channel that includes closed captions included for all supported output streams.

This course assumes you already know how to create a live video workflow using AWS and Amazon products.
