Yale Continuing Medical Education, Training Course: Preventing Transmission of COVID-19 in the Long-Term Care Setting, 7/15/2021 12:00:00 PM - 7/15/2024 1:00:00 PM, This training provides a refresher on infection prevention practices and specific guidance on COVID-19 for long-term care settings. The course content is aimed at healthcare workers who enter long-term care facilities and who do not receive regular in-service trainings from facilities. It should take approximately one (1) hour to complete and you may leave the course and return where you left off, if needed. You can take this course on a computer or mobile device. Non-graded self-checks in the training let you assess your knowledge. A certificate of completion will appear in your TRAIN learner account after viewing the course in its entirety and completing a course evaluation. The course was developed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health (CT DPH), in collaboration the New England Public Health Training Center (NEPHTC) at the Yale School of Public Health. Content in this course is based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, commonly called the CDC, and from trainings developed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
