Course Description
Overview
CFN-3” Economics of Food “deals with the concept of food and food expenditure and about the process of planning for food production with special reference to kitchen gardening. Government’s effort in developing the Agriculture sector, the Poultry, Pisciculture and Dairy sector are highlighted. Various supplementary feeding programmes organized by the Government for the vulnerable groups –children and women- have been emphasized. Finally the concept of adulteration and its precaution with special reference to consumer education is included.
