Course Description
Overview
This course in basic calculus intends to equip the engineering and science with the mathematical tools that they would primarily require for their studies. The emphasis is on understanding the concepts through examples and exercises. There will be no detailed proof of results unless it is very simple.
Syllabus
Week 1. Numbers, Functions, Sequencs and Limits of Functions
Week 2. Continuity, Derivative, Maxima and Minima and Taylor's expansion
Week 3 : Integration of Real Functions
Week 4 : Function of two variables, Conitunuity and Differentiability, Lagrange Multiplier Rule.
Week 5: Infinite Series and Multiple Integrals.
