Cultural sensitivity, literacy training and bias training are now part of the curriculum in medical schools, but it did not exist even just 10 years ago. As a result, there are gaps in provider knowledge, skills and strategies to address these issues in their practice setting. This episode also provides take away points to help members of the healthcare team provide culturally sensitive and accessible care to their patients.
