Making a Font from scratch in Adobe Illustrator, Fontself and Fontlab
Offered By: Skillshare
Course Description
Overview
In this tutorial I'll be taking you through the steps of making a font in Adobe Illustrator.
I'll be using both the programs fontself and fontlab. I find it useful to use both when working but the tutorial is designed so that you can use just one if you need to.
This class will begin with drawing the font using the line and shape tools, and then going through multi-lingual fonts, kerning, ligatures and weights, as well as exporting.
By the end you should be able to produce your own sans serif!
If however you're still in need of a font, ponte, the font designed in the lessons is available from my creative market shop.
