Draw & Texture Minimalistic Animals in Adobe Illustrator
Offered By: Skillshare
Course Description
Overview
To create an original illustration you don’t need to draw everything precisely as it is in real life, but rather reduce, simplify and visually interpret what you see.
I am Dominic Righini-Brand, and in this class we’ll be exploring tools and techniques for creating animal illustrations in a reduced graphic style in Adobe Illustrator. The beauty of this technique is that you don’t need to be great at drawing or be very proficient using Illustrator!
Minimalistic illustrations can be great on their own as prints, or can be developed into logomarks, pictograms or used as pattern elements.
This class is suitable for any skill level including beginners, and will provide you with an opportunity to create you own minimalistic illustrations.
This class covers:
- what to look for when choosing a reference image;
- basics of drawing using the Pen tool;
- basics of using the Pathfinder tool;
- working with Swatches & Global Colours*;
- texturing technique within Illustrator*.
I cannot wait to see your illustrations! Join in and share your projects!;)
* Global Colours & Texturing Technique work only in Illustrator CC versions.
