Configuring Office 365 tenant and its applications is just the start of a successful deployment. Learn about mailbox migration options, the types of mailboxes found in Exchange Online, and how to create, manage, archive, and secure mailbox contents.
Exchange Online is a frequently underutilized tool in the workplace. In this course, Planning and Configuring Exchange Online, you'll learn a powerful set of tools that allow you to access your email from anywhere, anytime, and from almost any device by configuring synchronization options and remote access methods. First, you'll explore the different mailbox migration methods used to migrate existing mailboxes to Exchange Online. Next, you'll delve into the different types of mailboxes, including individual, resource, and shared mailboxes, along with distribution groups and contacts. Then, you'll learn how to manage the lifecycle of the content stored in mailboxes, by looking at the use of archive policies, retention policies, and tags. Finally, you'll discover how to secure the inbound and outbound email messages and protect the content contained within the mailboxes, by exploring permission delegation, anti-malware, anti-spam, legal holds, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and the Exchange Online Protection Center.
