Presented by Department Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine.Lower extremity stress related injuries in adolescents are becoming more common with the increase in overall volume of sports activities throughout the year. Participants need to increase their knowledge of the etiology of stress related injuries in the pediatric population and develop strategies to incorporate best practices to diagnose and treat these conditions. This session will include the clinical presentation of a stress related lower extremity injury along with preventative measures that can be taken. Participants will also increase their understanding of the indications for specialized care.
