Course Description
Overview
Stanford Center for Continuing Medical Education, Pediatric Grand Rounds (RECORDING) Good trouble: The pursuit of health equity in pediatric subspecialty care, 6/15/2022 12:00:00 AM - 6/15/2023 12:00:00 AM, This presentation is a recording of a Stanford Pediatric Grand Rounds Session. World-renowned experts will present the latest research, practice guidelines, and treatment protocols to advance best practices in the care of pediatric patients. These online recordings will provide pediatricians and family physicians with up-to-date clinical information on a wide range of clinical issues encountered in daily pediatric practice. Pediatric health inequities have become more apparent as more data has been collected over time. Many of these pediatric populations have chronic diseases, and are cared by both primary care and subspecialty pediatricians. Traditionally, the role of advocacy and awareness of public health and the social determinants of health in caring for pediatric populations has defaulted to the general pediatrician. In this session, we discuss the background of the development of some of these health inequities, and the role that subspecialty pediatricians can play in improving outcomes for pediatric chronic disease populations.
