Overview

Dartmouth Health Continuing Education for Professionals Home, Nursing Grand Rounds “ Interpreter Services at Dartmouth-Hitchcock: A Deeper Dive, 9/22/2021 8:00:00 AM - 9/22/2024 9:00:00 AM, Interpreter Services are critical to ensuring patients with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) receive safe and effective care at D-H. This presentation will increase awareness of services that exist and how to access those services, the risks that patients with LEP experience in accessing healthcare due to language barriers as well as risks to the patient and institution in not using qualified professional interpreters. Benefits to the patient and institution in using trained professional interpreters will also be addressed.
