This presentation focuses on the systems immunology of COVID-19. How the immune system responds to the virus. How can we harness the immune system to fight the virus. Discussed warp speed immunology. Map out the human response. Also discussed the adaptive response and antibodies in SARS-CoV-2 infections. The ability of antibodies to protect often depends on the interactions with FcyRs. Inflammatory cell activation induced bv IgG-FcyR interactions can be protective or contribute to disease. Review study data. Results show the quality of antibodies produced by hospitalized COVID-19 patients is distinct from outpatients.
