Course Description
Overview
This course will teach students the tools and resources necessary to prepare their next film shoot, covering everything from storyboarding to location scouting to the most essential gear used in both the pre-production and production stages.
Syllabus
- Production: Gear
- In this session, we're gonna talk about gear and the advantages and disadvantages of different tools.
- Pre-Production: Strategy
- We will discuss all of the techniques involved in the developing a strategy for your shoot. This includes asking specific questions to your clients yourself when planning a new project. We will delve into creating scripts, storyboards and shot lists, as well as discuss some key financial considerations.
- Production: Storytelling
- We will review technical components that affect storytelling .
- Pre-Production: Field Work
- We will discuss time-saving pre-production tools and techniques.
- Production: Camerawork
- In this session, we're gonna talk about camerawork, which includes shot sizes, composition, camera movement, and other wonderful things. We will also discuss what makes camerawork effective and what doesn't.
