Overview

This video provides a walkthrough of onboarding a Raspberry Pi as an AWS IoT Greengrass core.

This course will demonstrate onboarding an AWS IoT Greengrass core and is not intended to be a complete AWS IoT Greengrass training solution. For training about AWS IoT Greengrass, please see Edge Computing: AWS IoT Greengrass Primer.

  • Fleet managers
  • Device engineers


Course Objectives

In this course, you will learn how to:

  • Create a Greengrass group
  • Download the Greengrass core software
  • Prepare the Raspberry Pi
  • Add a Greengrass aware device
  • Add IoT policies and subscriptions
  • Deploy a Greengrass group


Prerequisites

We recommend that attendees of this course have the following prerequisites:

  • IoT Foundation: Telemetry
  • IoT Foundation: Command and Control

The following prerequisite is optional and will provide additional information:- IoT Edge Computing: AWS IoT Greengrass Primer
