Dartmouth Health Continuing Education for Professionals Home, Interprofessional Grand Rounds Webinar - Creating a Trans Affirming Environment: Use of Gender Appropriate Language at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, 8/27/2021 8:00:00 AM - 8/27/2024 9:00:00 AM, According to the 2015 US Transgender Survey, out of 28,000 transgender and gender diverse individuals, 33% reported having at least one negative experience with a medical provider related to being transgender. 23% of respondents reported not seeing a doctor when they needed to because of fear of being mistreated as a transgender person. This presentation will be an overview of the proper tools and resources to be able to appropriately provide care for transgender and gender diverse individuals and to ensure everyone feels comfortable accessing healthcare.
