Program Release: August 6, 2022 Expiration Date: August 6, 2023 Estimated time to complete: 25 minutes There are no prerequisites for participation This presentation will provide an introduction on compassion, a new way to feel patients’ suffering without being emotionally exhausted by it. This presentation will then explain the different patterns of activations in the body and mind of empathy and compassion. With these in mind, the presentation will also describe how to practice compassion.

  • Differentiate between empathy and compassion
  • Describe how to stay with patients’ suffering without being consumed by it
