Course Description
Overview
Topics for the HPV Learning Collaborative include the Illinois Action Plan to Eliminate Vaccine-Preventable Cancers, the current progress of HPV prevention and treatment, and future directions. This activity will also discuss primary prevention among older adults, outreach strategies, HPV within special populations, and vaccination promotion.
The goal is to provide education for healthcare professionals to lower the rates of HPV and promote HPV vaccination.
Syllabus
After this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe the Illinois Action Plan to Eliminate Vaccine-Preventable Cancers, current progress, and future directions;
- State primary prevention strategies for older adults (26-46 years old);
- Discuss outreach and vaccination strategies for school-age children (9-12 years old);
- Identify strategies to prevent and treat HPV in special populations;
- Outline methods to promote HPV vaccination.
