FACULTY Katherine Sharkey, MD, PhD Assistant Dean for Women in Medicine and Science Associate Professor of Medicine Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University Providence, RI OVERVIEW Faculty and residents are increasingly experiencing burnout and professional dissatisfaction. This webinar will provide an overview about a general approach to wellness with an emphasis on sleep-health and sleep-hygiene.

Syllabus

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to: 

  1. Describe the physiologic processes that govern sleep and circadian regulation.
  2. Recognize the impact of the current health care work environment on sleep patterns among international samples and locally.
  3. Implement strategies to promote healthy sleep habits despite competing demands
