Overview

Zero Suicide reflects a commitment by healthcare leaders to strive to make suicide a “never event” so that not one person dies alone and in despair. Zero Suicide is an international movement in healthcare. In the Fall of 2020 a 4-part live webinar series was held and recorded on the following topics: Session 1: What is Zero Suicide? (LEAD) Session 2: IDENTIFY & ENGAGE Part 1 Session 3: ENGAGE Part 2, TREAT & TRANSITION Session 4: TRAIN & IMPROVE This webinar series is jointly provided by the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Washington County Zero Suicide Program. In collaboration with the Zero Suicide Institute. Syllabus

After participating in this webinar series, the learner should be better able to: 

  1. Describe the 7 essential elements of Zero Suicide and how, when implemented with fidelity, they can significantly reduce suicides. 
  2. Recognize the importance of screening patients at risk of suicide and how other health systems have effectively. 
  3. Incorporate and apply screenings into daily operations.
