Dartmouth Health Continuing Education for Professionals Home, Geriatric Education Series - Appropriate Prescribing Practices for Opioids for Pain Management in Older Adults, 2/4/2021 8:00:00 AM - 2/4/2024 9:00:00 AM, This series is designed so that learners will be able to apply principles of evidence-based medicine to determine clinical diagnoses, and formulate and implement acceptable treatment modalities for geriatric patients.

Participants will be able to recommend non-pharmacologic approaches to pain, maximize non-opioid pharmacologic approaches and use opioids cautiously, being aware of when and how to taper if their side effects and risks exceed the benefit.
