This introductory program from Doane University, comprised of 3 courses and a final exam, is for those looking to build a solid foundation in marketing techniques that they can apply in their careers. Course 1: Marketing Foundations
Examine the basic building blocks of marketing as a part of the overall business strategy.
Course 2: Marketing Operations
Explore topics focusing on the historical development of marketing as well as the effects that global trade and technology has on marketing practices and operations.
Course 3: Marketing - Delivering the Value Proposition
Examine the process of branding and its relationship to value creation.
Course 4: Marketing Essentials Final Exam
A comprehensive exam covering the Marketing Essentials courses.

In today’s world consumers are constantly flooded by marketing efforts in every aspect of their lives. The best ideas, products, and solutions can only make an impact if they can reach the right audience, at the right time. One important aspect of this is developing and communicating a clear value proposition.
This course takes a close look at the process of branding and its relationship to value creation. Learners will explore channel or distribution strategies which are not always associated with marketing decisions. Pricing strategies along with a look at social responsibility will also be considered and evaluated by the learners. -
In this module, learners will participate in a comprehensive exam covering topics from each course, (Marketing Foundations, Marketing Operations, and Delivering the Value Proposition) within the Marketing Essentials MicroBachelors Program.

This foundational marketing course will give you an introductory understanding of marketing functions within an organization.
