COVID-19 and the primary pediatric care perspective. 
Discussed influenza in the pediatric population. Discussed barriers to efficient response including IPC protocols, knowledge of pathogen, diagnostic testing and PPE and administrative hurdles. Discussed IDSA guidelines and use in practice. Primary care Pediatric perspectives from primary care and lessons learned from FQHC. Established telemedicine for wellness, vaccinations and community advocacy. Also discussed strategies to provide ongoing health maintenance, including: Identify and reach out to patients who have delayed vaccinations or missed WCC, prioritize and reassure families of safety of health visits and consider outreach to other vulnerable pediatric populations. Discussed delivery, breast feeding and SARS C0V-2. Other topics included telemedicine in Primary Care, considering the benefits and risks. Discussed hybrid in-person well child visits and virtual visits. Discussed eating disorders during the pandemic, how a pandemic can increase the risk of an ED. To summarize, we have an unprecedented increase in eating disorders in our children. Discussed what providers can do to help. Recognize and utilize local resources to support your pediatric population. Also discussed lessons learned from the pandemic.
