Course Description
Overview
The Workday in Action Series is geared towards learners interested in an in-depth view of the business processes and tasks used by business users across the Workday platform to organize and maintain information. The Workday products covered are: Workday Human Capital Management (HCM), Workday Recruiting, Workday Compensation, Workday Benefits, and Workday Financial Management.
By the end of this course, a learner will be able to navigate Workday, explain how Workday organizes information, update and maintain worker and transactional data, initiate, approve, and manage business processes, and perform product-specific tasks.
Syllabus
- Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) in Action
- In this module, you will learn how to navigate and search in Workday, understand staffing models, and learn how to perform the daily transactions of hiring, transferring, and terminating your organization's workers.
- Workday Recruiting in Action
- In this module, you will learn how to create job requisitions, understand how candidates apply to jobs, and how to manage lists of applicants.
- Workday Compensation in Action
- In this module, you will learn how to propose compensation for new hires, propose compensation changes, request compensation changes, and request one-time payments.
- Workday Benefits in Action
- In this module, you will learn how to initiate and process benefit events, identify benefit event types; and manage dependents, beneficiaries, passive events, and court orders. You will also learn how to support the open enrollment cycle and passive events.
- Workday Payroll in Action
- In this module you will learn how to process and audit payroll, complete the payroll cycle, and identify reports to validate results.
- Workday Financial Management in Action
- In this module, you will learn to perform accounting-related transactions and create journal entries to support day-to-day accounting functions. You will also learn common accounts payable-related and accounts receivable-related transactions.
