Course Description
Overview
Placement Level: Eligibility for ESL 612 as determined by the Chaffey College ESL placement process and/or guided self placement. This is the first multi-skills core course in the study of English with reading, writing, listening and speaking designed for students whose first language is not English. The course includes reading and writing the English alphabet, producing the sound system, as well as practicing simple grammar, reading, and writing. Students also learn basic classroom rules and communication necessary for success at school. May be taken twice. Non-credit
