Course Description
Overview
Surveys the traditional music cultures of Asia, Africa, Europe, Native America, and Latin America. Emphasis is on the evolution and performance practices of musical styles and the relationship between a culture's music and its religious, political, and social structure. Some of the class hours for this course may be scheduled as To Be Arranged (TBA). May be offered in a distance-learning format. This course meets the Cabrillo College multicultural studies requirement. CAB GE C, CSU GE C1, IGETC 3A.
