Differentiability of Shape Functions and Effective Lagrangians
Offered By: Erwin Schrödinger International Institute for Mathematics and Physics (ESI) via YouTube
Course Description
Overview
Explore the differentiability of shape functions and effective Lagrangians in a 44-minute conference talk delivered by Yuri Bakhtin at the Erwin Schrödinger International Institute for Mathematics and Physics (ESI). Delve into various model classes, including continuous space polymer models in positive and zero temperature, HJB equations in dynamic random environments, and anisotropic continuous space FPP models. Discover the proof of shape function differentiability everywhere (except at the origin in the FPP case) and learn the formula for its gradient. Gain insights from this joint work with Douglas Dow, presented as part of the Workshop on "Stochastic Partial Differential Equations" held at ESI in February 2024.
