Overview
Explore the crucial role of sonic elements in designing virtual, augmented, and mixed reality environments in this workshop from IEEE VR 2022. Delve into state-of-the-art research on sound for VR/AR/MR environments and discover how insights from related fields such as film sound theory, product sound design, sound and music computing, game sound design, and computer music can inform VR/AR/MR design. Led by principal organizer Michele Geronazzo, this 2-hour and 35-minute session aims to raise awareness within the virtual reality community about the importance of audio in creating immersive experiences.
