Overview
Explore a conference talk that delves into the complex relationship between policymaking and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) research. Gain insights from interviews with 11 professionals working at this intersection, uncovering how evidence is interpreted and prioritized in policymaking processes. Learn about the challenges researchers face when communicating their work to policymaking audiences and discover potential new policy opportunities for speculative research practices in HCI. Examine three proposed strategies for the HCI community to enhance engagement with policymaking contexts.
