Overview
Experience the soothing process of creating porcelain lidded jars in this 22-minute ASMR video. Follow along as clay is wedged and weighed, bodies and lids are thrown on the wheel, and a makeshift drying setup is demonstrated. Observe the use of ultra-sharp trimming tools crafted by Jaejun Lee as the artist meticulously trims the underside of the lid, the body, and the base of the jar. Witness the unique technique of using a torch to check the thickness of translucent porcelain. Learn about the final steps of the process, including stamping the maker's mark and examining the finished bone-dry porcelain jars.
