Explore the process of testing new stoneware clays in this 20-minute video tutorial. Follow along as three different clay samples are unwrapped, thrown, trimmed, and bisque fired. Observe the glazing process, including waxing the bowls' feet and tidying up glazed wares. Watch as the pieces are packed into a Rohde KG-340 gas kiln and reduction fired to 1290ºC. Discover the final results as the bowls are unpacked, their bases sanded, and the outcomes thoroughly inspected.
