Strongly Stabilizing Controller Design for Systems with Time Delay
Offered By: GERAD Research Center via YouTube
Course Description
Overview
Explore the concept of strong stabilization in control systems with time delay in this 52-minute ISS Informal Systems Seminar talk by Hitay Özbay from Bilkent University, Turkey. Delve into the history of strong stabilization techniques dating back to the 1970s and examine various design methods for finding stabilizing feedback controllers that are themselves stable. Investigate the challenges of solving variations of the problem with additional conditions such as robust stability, H2, or H∞ optimality. Review existing strong stabilization methods for LTI finite-dimensional plants and learn about their extensions to systems with time delays. Discover a new family of controllers for unstable time delay systems and engage with related open problems in the field.
