Bianalytic Mappings Between Free Spectrahedra - Semi-Plenary
Offered By: Schmid College, Chapman University via YouTube
Course Description
Overview
Explore the intricate world of Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) and their solution sets, known as spectrahedra, in this 51-minute semi-plenary talk by Scott McCullough from the University of Florida. Delve into the connections between LMIs, systems and control engineering, and optimization problems. Examine examples of spectrahedra such as polydiscs and matrix balls, and investigate the fully matricial solution sets of LMIs, also known as LMI domains or free spectrahedra. Discover the relationships between free spectrahedra and operator systems, including applications in quantum information theory. Learn about free analytic maps as the natural class of mappings between free spectrahedra, and explore the problem of classifying free bianalytic maps between pairs of spectrahedra, with a focus on automorphisms.
