Participate in a hands-on workshop led by Prof. Ananda Hota, focusing on citizen-science research in astronomy. Learn to use NASA web tools to create images from GMRT and other telescope data, gaining skills in understanding UV-optical-IR-radio (RGB-C) images of galaxies. Explore the process of imaging galaxies hosting supermassive black holes and their giant plasma jets. Bring a laptop or tablet to actively engage in image preparation and share your creations on social media with #SelfieWithBlackhole. This 2.5-hour session offers a unique opportunity to take your first steps towards becoming a citizen-scientist or e-astronomer, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application in the field of radio astronomy.
