Course Description
Overview
Explore the persistence of sexism in the 21st century through a personal account from a foreign, aged-challenged single mother studying IT. Compare experiences across several countries to examine how, despite decades of efforts to force change, sexism remains prevalent in various fields, particularly in technology and academia. Gain insights into the challenges faced by women in male-dominated industries and the ongoing struggle against the glass ceiling. Reflect on the slow progress made in gender equality over the past 20 years and consider the implications for future generations.
