How to Play the Guitar Modes - Left Handed Modal Scales

The modal scales are also known as the classical scales and are essential to know if you want to be a great guitar soloist or song writer. There are 7 different modal scales which all have there own sound and personality so that by using different modes you can shape your solos and improvisation to make them way more interesting. The modal scales are; the Ionian (I) scale the Dorian (II) scale the Phrygian (III) scale the Lydian (IV) scale the Mixolydian (V) scale the Aeolian (VI) scale the Locrian (VII) scale I you become reasonably proficient with the modal scales you can end up using them together with ease, but remember you don't have to learn them all in one go. To learn these scales properly, take your time and memorize one at a time over a period of time. It can take over a year to master these scales if you do it properly.
