Security Framework Challenges & Solutions
Offered By: Hack In The Box Security Conference via YouTube
Course Description
Overview
Explore the challenges and solutions in security frameworks for embedded devices with sensing and communication capabilities in this HITB Security Conference talk. Delve into the complexities of ensuring information security in heterogeneous networks, addressing mobility and ad hoc nature. Learn about physical layer security (PLS) as a complement to existing security infrastructure, and discover how PLS schemes exploit wireless channel features and device imperfections for authentication and key generation. Examine the limitations of commercializing PLS-based security solutions due to constraints in feature extraction from commercial wireless radio modules. Gain insights into physical layer authentication schemes, the capabilities of various wireless systems modules, and methodologies for extracting physical parameters from commercially available radio modules. Benefit from the expertise of three speakers with extensive experience in embedded software engineering, wireless communications, and applied research in secure and resilient wireless systems.
