Overview
Financial markets refer broadly to any marketplace where the trading of securities occurs, including the stock market, bond market, forex market, and derivatives market, among others. These markets are vital to the smooth operation of capitalist economies and may include assets or securities that are either listed on regulated exchanges or else trade over-the-counter (OTC). The selling or buying of financial assets takes place between two parties- Buyer and Seller. When financial markets fail, economic disruption including recession and unemployment can follow. Owing to its significance, it is essential to have at least a basic understanding of financial markets. Therefore, in this course, you will learn about the different types of Financial markets like bond market, commodity market, forex market, stock market, derivative market and cryptocurrency market.
