Overview
Explore a thought-provoking conference session from the 2011 AGU Fall Meeting examining how various stakeholders shape scientific debates, particularly around climate change. Delve into perspectives from policymakers, scientists, journalists, and cultural analysts on topics including: the impact of policy upheaval in Congress on science, how policymakers view climate science, cultural framing of skeptical and convinced viewpoints, scientists' role in public discourse, mixed messaging on climate science, portrayals of climate change in new and social media, and a journalist's view on climate science communication.
