Applied Hydrodynamic Modelling
Offered By: Australian Water School via YouTube
Course Description
Overview
Explore two unique case studies showcasing the application of hydrodynamic modeling in environmental planning, management, and structural design during this informative webinar. Dive into the contrasting modeling approaches required for different hydrodynamic conditions, learning valuable lessons and key aspects crucial for successful project execution. Examine the first case study on modeling a shallow, hypersaline estuary in the Coorong, Lower Lakes, and Murray River Mouth system in South Australia, understanding how TUFLOW FV has been used to inform sustainable management decisions. Then, investigate the second case study on 3D hydrodynamic modeling for structural design in the Brisbane River, comparing 2D and 3D model results to gain insights into complex flow behaviors and their impact on structural actions. Gain a deeper understanding of hydrodynamic modeling applications and their significance in environmental and engineering contexts.
