Equivariant Genera, Spectrum of Isolated Singularities & Hybrid Models
Offered By: IMSA via YouTube
Course Description
Overview
Explore the intricacies of equivariant genera, spectrum of isolated singularities, and hybrid models in this 54-minute lecture by Anatoly Libgober from the University of Illinois Chicago. Delve into an equivariant version of Hirzebruch and elliptic genera of GIT quotients in Witten's hybrid model construction. Examine the relationship between invariants of these quotients from McKay correspondence for the elliptic genus, including the LG/CY correspondence between invariants of CY hypersurfaces in weighted projective spaces and isolated singularities. Gain insights into the interpretation of the Steenbrink spectrum of singularities generic for its Newton polytope as a motivic measure on K-theory of varieties with a torus action.
