Aminoglycosides are Toxic drugs to be used cautiously
Major toxicities of Aminoglycoside
Adverse affect :Ototoxicity
Adverse affect :Nephrotoxicity
Adverse affect :Paralysis
Avoid in Pregnant women
Topical administration is safer
High dose extended interval regimen
Adverse affect of Nephrotoxicity is reversible while ototoxicity is irreversible
