Overview
The Role of Media is designed to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of the news, journalism and how to effectively deal with the press.
Syllabus
- Module I: The Role of the Media
- Upon completion of this module, learners will be able to interpret different scenarios and determine the most appropriate communication strategy and approach for a specific situation.
- Module II: What Makes News
- Upon completion of this module, learners will have acquired the necessary skills for recognising the different aspects of media including its definitions and role in society and how to use the tips and techniques to make a story newsworthy
- Module III: Time to Talk with the Media
- Upon completion of this module, participants will have acquired the necessary skills for public speaking as well as how to maintain attention and control in a press conference or media interview.
