Overview
This course “Renewable Energy Technologies and Their Uses” covers the concept of Solar Radiation, their characteristics and how to estimate solar radiation. Design of various solar thermal technologies like Solar Cooker, Solar water heater, solar air heater, Solar dryer and Solar still has also been discussed. Solar Photovoltaic Principles, Power Generation, construction and working of Solar Lantern, Solar Pump and solar street lighting have also been focused upon. The course also covers areas like Biomass Energy and Technologies for Biogas plants. Details of Solar Active and Passive Buildings have also been highlighted to give the learners a holistic learning
