Overview

CFN-2 “Your Food and Its Utilization “deals with what happens to food in our body and its effect on our health. You will learn about the recommended dietary intakes, nutrient needs and how to meet these needs using the food guide. You will learn to distinguish the three nutritional states – normal nutrition, undernutrition and overnutrition. We will further examine nutrition through the different physiological state of life beginning with the pregnant mother and ending with the aged. Finally the importance of developing good food habits and having the right concepts of food is stressed in this course
